Why do people behave the way they do? What drives decisions under pressure? How does the mind store, distort, and reconstruct memory? Psychology is the discipline that asks these questions rigorously, and uses evidence to answer them. The Access to HE Diploma (Psychology) is your entry point to studying it at degree level.
This Level 3 qualification is awarded by OCN London, a QAA-recognised Access Validating Agency. It is for adults aged 19 and over who want to study Psychology BSc (Hons) at a UK university without the A level qualifications traditionally required. UK universities accept it in place of A levels for psychology degree entry.
You will study 60 credits covering cognitive, developmental, social, biological, and clinical psychology, as well as research methods, abnormal psychology, and the ethical framework of the discipline. The curriculum maps directly onto what first-year psychology undergraduates are expected to know, including British Psychological Society (BPS) core requirements.
Studied 100% online over 12 months, with no exams. Assessment is through essays, research design tasks, case studies, and a final independent project. You earn up to 144 UCAS points based on your grade profile. Your tutor provides written feedback within 2 working days on every piece of work.
A BPS-accredited Psychology BSc opens the door to clinical psychology, educational psychology, forensic psychology, counselling, neuroscience, and research, as well as roles in business, HR, and marketing where psychological expertise is valued.
