The journey

From sign-up to certificate in four clear steps

No timetables. No lecture halls. Just structured online learning, built around your life, with a real UK tutor in your corner.

  1. Step 01

    Choose your qualification

Browse Ofqual-regulated qualifications by faculty or awarding body. Compare levels, units, time commitment and outcomes on every course page.

Not sure where to start? Talk to a UK adviser for free, or use the course comparison tool to see two qualifications side by side.

  2. Step 02

    Subscribe monthly or annually

Pay monthly to spread the cost or annually to save 20 per cent. No contract, no credit checks. Awarding-body registration and certification fees are included.

Pause your subscription anytime if life gets busy and resume when you are ready. 14-day refund window if you change your mind.

  3. Step 03

Study with a named UK tutor

Work through structured units online at your pace. Submit assignments, get detailed written feedback, and message your tutor whenever you have a question.

Every learner is matched with a named UK subject specialist on day one. Ask questions in the learner forum, message your tutor 1-to-1, and track progress in your dashboard.

  4. Step 04

Get certified by a UK awarding body

When you complete all units, your awarding body issues your official certificate. Registration and certification fees are already included in your subscription.

Your certificate is recognised by UK employers, universities and professional bodies, including UCAS tariff points where applicable.

Day-to-day

What a typical study week looks like

Most learners study around 6 to 10 hours a week, fitted around work and family. Everything happens in one place: your Lift College dashboard. Your tutor is one message away.

  • Monday-Tuesday. Open the next unit, read the lesson, watch the short walkthrough, and take notes.
  • Mid-week. Work through the activities, post a question in the forum if you get stuck, or message your tutor.
  • Weekend. Submit an assignment, review tutor feedback on the last one, and plan the week ahead.
  • Whenever. Need a break? Pause for a week. No penalty, no questions.

FAQ

How it works FAQ

  • How quickly can I start?

Most learners are studying within 24 hours. Sign up, complete a short induction, meet your tutor on day one, and start your first unit.

  • How long does a qualification take?

Most Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas take 6 to 12 months at a comfortable pace. GCSEs and A levels typically take 9 to 18 months. You can study faster or slower and pause anytime.

  • Who marks my work?

Your named UK tutor marks every assignment with detailed written feedback. An internal quality assurer reviews a sample for accreditation, and an external moderator from the awarding body verifies standards.

  • How do I get my certificate?

Once you complete all units and pass internal verification, the awarding body issues your certificate by post. Registration and certification fees are included in your subscription, so there is nothing extra to pay.

  • Are the qualifications recognised by employers and universities?

Yes. Every qualification is Ofqual-regulated and awarded by a UK awarding body recognised by employers, professional bodies and universities. Many of our diplomas carry UCAS tariff points.

  • Can I keep my materials if I cancel?

You retain access to any units you have completed and any feedback you have received. New unit access ends when your subscription ends, but you keep everything you have already earned.

  • What if I need to pause my studies?

You can pause your subscription anytime from your dashboard. When you resume, you pick up exactly where you left off. No re-enrolment, no fees, no penalty.

  • Do I need any prior qualifications?

Most qualifications have no formal entry requirements. Your motivation matters more than your past. Entry requirements (where they exist) are listed on every course page and a UK adviser can talk you through your options.

  • How do exams work for GCSEs and A levels?

For qualifications with external exams, you sit them at an approved UK exam centre. We help you find a centre near you. Exam centre fees are paid directly to the centre and are not included in your subscription.

  • Is the platform accessible?

Yes. The Lift College platform meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Materials are available in screen-reader-friendly formats, captions are provided on video content, and reasonable adjustments are available for assessments.
